What to Pack / What to Wear
Welcome Party: Attire for the welcome party will be colorful cocktail; fun bright colors are welcome! Men are encouraged to wear a sport coat.
Wedding Ceremony and Reception: The attire for the wedding ceremony and reception will be black tie.
Rehearsal Dinner (for immediate family and wedding party): Chic garden party attire, flats or wedges welcome! Bring a jacket or sweater - it may get cool out!
Wedding events aside, we suggest packing in layers! San Miguel can reach the high 70’s during the daytime, and plummet to the mid-40’s during the early morning and night. T-shirts, full length pants, sweat shirts and a coat are all a must!
Please pack walking sneakers as well! San Miguel is a Unesco World Heritage Site, and the streets of San Miguel are all original uneven cobblestone; the sidewalks are uneven and narrow. Your feet will thank you!

Where to Stay
Please refer to the “Accommodations” section of the website! All pickup and drop off for airport transportation and wedding transportation will revolve around the Rosewood and the Numu hotels. If you are staying elsewhere it will be easiest if it is within walking distance from the Numu or the Rosewood. If it is not, please see How to Get Around San Miguel, below!

Flying to San Miguel
Please make sure your passports are up to date!
Most flights to QRO and BJX have a short layover in either Dallas or Houston. We’ve found that these flights are rarely delayed, but if there is a delay they will typically hold the San Miguel bound aircraft for connecting passengers, so don’t worry! Upon arrival in Mexico you will be met by a sprinter van which will take you to the Rosewood and the Numu (for covered flights only - please check the “Travel/Flights” tab!). If your final destination is elsewhere please note that you will need to arrange transportation from the Rosewood Hotel / Numu Hotel to your accommodation.

How to Get Around San Miguel
San Miguel is incredibly easy to navigate - most everything is within a 20 minute walk, often less. It is unlikely you will need to rely on a car to get around! Google maps is easily accessible as cell service is solid throughout the city.
Uber is not widely available in San Miguel, however San Miguel has text message based car pickup services that all the locals use! These are not the same services that perform airport pickup and drop off. The services are listed on our transportation page.

Currency Questions and Safety Questions
Currency - everywhere in San Miguel will accept credit cards, although sometimes store owners will take issue with American Express. We have yet to encounter a store that does not accept Visa or Mastercard. U.S. dollars are sometimes accepted. We recommend getting Pesos before your arrival or using the ATMs at Santander located in the Jardin (see our San Miguel Guide) to obtain Mexican Pesos if you wish to tip or pay in cash. Tipping in SMA - standard tips are 10%, 15% for fantastic service.
Safety - San Miguel is consistently found to be one of the safest cities in Mexico. There is a heavy police presence, and the city is home to many American ex-pats. Compared to Philadelphia, it’s about as safe as you can get!

Weather Conditions
December is considered the dry season in San Miguel. There should be little to no rain. As stated, the days can get hot, with temps up to the mid-70’s, while the evenings, nights, and early mornings are chilly. If you are dining outside at night, you will need to bring a coat to dinner. Women are advised to bring wraps for all evening events.
